LEGAL WEAPONS
Firearm Deer Season: Legal weapons include
(1) high powered rifle that deliver at least 900lbs of bullet energy at 100 yds. (2) Handguns that deliver at least 400 pounds of bullet energy at 50 yards, (3) Muzzleloader rifles of 44 caliber or larger shotguns of 20 gauge or larger that fire a single slug.

NO ATV's ALLOWED - NO CROSSBOWS!

HUNTER ORANGE
Law requires hunters to wear at least 400 sq. inches of "Hunter Orange" on their head, back, and chest AT ALL TIMES when hunting deer during firearm and muzzleloader seasons. This is for your own safety, but failure to do so can also result in a fine.

Shooting Hours:
Shooting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset for deer and 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes before sunset for turkey. It is unlawful to take or attempt to take any turkey that is perched in a tree prior to sunrise.

Game Limits:
Daily bag limit is the total number that may be lawfully taken on any given day. Possession limit is the total number that may be lawfully possessed at any given time. This includes not only game in personal possession, but also, that held in any method of storage

 

Hunter Safety:
Hunter safety training is mandatory for all youngsters, ages 12 through 15, who wish to hunt, and the certification card should be carried on that person. Youngsters under 12 must be accompanied by a licensed hunter 19 years of age or older.
